The MxCC President’s
Committee on Diversity seeks to build awareness and community networking that relates to the support of a multicultural perspective
by involving MxCC students (including MILE members), staff, and the public in ongoing discussions and events on intercultural
relations and attitudes; and to promote appreciation for cultural diversity. All Diversity Committee events
are open to the public, so MILE members are welcome not only to attend these very informative programs, but to bring guests
as well. Events are generally held each month September through December, and February through April; they
feature programs such as an International Students Day, speakers or performances focusing on African-American, Latino, Native
American, and Asian culture, and much more.
