President’s Council on Diversity Hosts Upcoming Special Events

    

 Tuesday, March 18 -- 12:30 -- 1:30 pm         Student Lounge

    

The Council plans a Panel of Women in Local and State Government it will be a panel of women in government.   The participants will be Sen. Eileen Daily, Rep. Gail Hamm, and Middletown Councilwoman Hope Kasper; moderator, Dr. Adrienne Maslin, MxCC Assoc. Dean of Learning & Student Development.Moderator, Dr. Adrienne Maslin, Associate Dean of Learning and Student Development, MxCC.  This program is being held in conjunction with the observance of Women's History Month .

 

The President’s Council on Diversity seeks to build awareness and community networking that relates to the support of a multicultural perspective by involving MxCC students, staff, and the public in ongoing discussions and events on intercultural relations and attitudes; and to promote appreciation for cultural diversity.

 

 The MxCC President’s Council on Diversity invites MILE members to attend upcoming events which the Council is sponsoring. All Diversity Council events are open to the public, so MILE members are encouraged not only to attend these stimulating and informative programs, but to bring friends as well.

 

 Recent events sponsored by the Council have included November’s presentation by Lakota storyteller, teacher of medicine wheel wisdom, and Hawkwing founder Rochelle Ripley; December’s International Holiday Celebration; and February’s Master of the Freedom Schooner Amistad.
