WHO'S
IN CHARGE AT MILE
MILE,
a totally volunteer organization sponsored by Middlesex Community College, is managed by an Advisory Board consisting of four
elected officers and several committee chairpersons appointed by the Chair with Board approval. The four
officers are elected by the MILE membership to serve a two year term and may serve an additional term if re-elected.
Currently serving in office are:
Elizabeth Tischio, Chairperson
Nancy Jordan, Vice Chairperson
Al Schuman, Treasurer
Virginia
Gumz, Secretary
Tischio, Schumann and Gumz are serving their second year, and although
relatively new to MILE at the time of their election in ’06, they have done a remarkable job in overseeing the organization
through positive growth, broadened appeal and expansive programming.

Nancy Jordan has been participating greatly in curriculum development and has served as Member-at-Large
and liaison to the MxCC Diversity Committee.
Also serving on the Board are At-large
Members and chairpersons of standing committees for:
Curriculum, Publicity, Newsletter, Website, Telephone, Trips, Hospitality, College Council Representative
and Liaison, and Diversity Representative.

occasional MILE Member Sharing Days, on October 17th. More information to come on this event to share your
favorite easy to make recipes for appetizers and desserts.
You
may participate in any or all of four ways.
1.
Contribute recipe(s) and directions for publication in
a MILE classroom collection of favorite recipes.
2. Discuss/demonstrate best way to prepare recipe in class.
3.
Share sample of recipe in class.
4.
Attend class to gather recipe ideas.
